Аnnual bulletin of the duration of sunshine
The current issue of the annual bulletin on the duration of sunshine in the Republic of Kazakhstan provides key information on the duration of sunshine across 15 administrative regions of the country for 2024.
The bulletin presents data on annual and seasonal sunshine duration, anomalies, seasonal anomaly indicators of sunshine duration by region, and the number of cloudy and clear days. It also includes the results of satellite analysis of the spatial distribution of sunshine.
Data Sources
The bulletin is based on materials from the Republican Hydrometeorological Fund of the RSE “Kazhydromet,” including:
- Sunshine duration;
- Calculations of annual and seasonal anomalies of sunshine duration;
- Number of cloudy and clear days;
- Satellite data obtained using the resources of The Earth Observatory and NASA Earth Observations (NEO), applied to refine the spatial distribution of sunshine.
Purpose
The annual bulletin on sunshine duration is intended for specialists and organizations dealing with solar radiation and its impacts, including energy sector professionals, environmentalists, climatologists, scientific and educational, agricultural organizations, healthcare, tourism, transport, government agencies, and other interested stakeholders.
