According to RSE Kazhydromet, the temperature background in the city of Semey changed as follows during the long-term observation period.

January — absolute minimum -47.2 °C (1969), absolute maximum 7.2 °C (1991).
February — absolute minimum -45.3 °C (1931), absolute maximum 7.2 °C (1963).
March — absolute minimum -38.9 °C (1971), absolute maximum 24.5 °C (2014).
April — absolute minimum of -26.1 °C (1969), absolute maximum of 33.9 °C (1956).
May — absolute minimum of -9.9 °C (1931), absolute maximum of 39.6 °C (2025).
June — absolute minimum of -1.1 °C (1971), absolute maximum of 39.5 °C (1931).
July — absolute minimum of 3.9 °C (1954), absolute maximum of 42.1 °C (1992).
August — absolute minimum of -1.0 °C (1978), absolute maximum of 42.5 °C (2002).
September — absolute minimum of -8.2 °C (1913), absolute maximum of 38.9 °C (1998).
October — absolute minimum of -20.8 °C (1987), absolute maximum of 30.0 °C (1970).
November — the absolute minimum is -48.6 °C (1910), the absolute maximum is 21.0 °C (2017).
December — the absolute minimum is -45.8 °C (1938), the absolute maximum is 7.8 °C (1955).
