On June 24-25, a field seminar on agrometeorological observations, data processing and control was held in the branch of the Kazhydromet State Enterprise in the Akmola region. It was attended by 14 engineers from regional branches and specialists from the Department of Agrometeorological Monitoring.
The main purpose of the event was to improve the skills of specialists, improve practical skills and exchange professional experience. Special attention was paid to the issues of conducting field observations and ensuring the quality of agrometeorological data.
Practical exercises were held at the observation sites of the weather station and the automatic Zerenda weather station, where participants worked out a methodology for determining soil moisture, conducted observations of grain and oilseed crops. During the seminar, the specialists also visited the fields of the Unicorn Crops Limited farm in the Zerendinsky district and got acquainted with the specifics of using agrometeorological information in agriculture.
Such field seminars help specialists improve their professional skills, share experiences and apply the knowledge gained in their future work.
