As part of the implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the SNCO "Center for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring" of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia (Armhydromet) and the RSE "Kazhydromet" of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a virtual working meeting was held on March 5 between specialists from two national hydrometeorological services.
Sona Hayrapetyan, Head of the Armhydromet Meteorological Service, presented a presentation on the activities of the meteorological service. During the presentation, the main areas of work and organizational structure of the service were highlighted, including conducting meteorological and agrometeorological observations, forecasting methods used in Armenia, as well as the Armhydromet mobile application, which provides users with operational meteorological information, forecasts and warnings.
Kazhydromet made a presentation on agrometeorological services, including the AgriData mobile application, designed to provide agrometeorological information and services for the agricultural sector.....The
parties confirmed their interest in continuing professional dialogue and further developing cooperation within the framework of the current Memorandum.
The cooperation between Armhydromet and Kazhydromet contributes to the development of modern hydrometeorological services, the introduction of innovative and digital solutions, as well as the strengthening of professional ties between our countries.
