On February 9, 2026, Kazhydromet hosted a meeting of representatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic, during which a Program of cooperation in the field of operational and production activities was signed between Kazhydromet and the Hydrometeorological Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyzhydromet) for 2026-2028.
The event was attended by a Kyrgyz delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic.
On behalf of RSE Kazhydromet, the Program was signed by Danara Kizatovna Alimbayeva, General Director. On behalf of Kyrgyzhydromet, the document was signed by Almamatov Timur Omurbekuly.
The signing of the Program is aimed at further developing bilateral cooperation in the field of hydrometeorology, exchanging operational information, improving forecasting of natural hazards, as well as strengthening cooperation in the field of prevention.
The parties noted the importance of strengthening partnerships, sharing experiences and working together to improve the effectiveness of hydrometeorological support and ensure the safety of the population of the two countries.
