For many years of conscientious work and significant contribution to the development of the hydrometeorological service of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Valentina Tsapenko was awarded the Yeren Yenbegi Ushin State medal.
Valentina Semenovna Tsapenko is an honored pensioner of RSE Kazhydromet, who for many years headed the Meteorology Department of the Almaty branch. She began her career in the hydrometeorological industry in 1982 as an actinometric engineer after graduating from the Kazakh State University with a degree in meteorology.
Over 37 years of continuous work in the industry, Valentina Semenovna has worked her way up from a meteorological engineer to the head of the Department of Meteorology and Agrometeorology, demonstrating high professionalism, responsibility and dedication. For more than 20 years, she has provided methodological guidance for meteorological and actinometric observations, ensuring their accuracy and reliability.
Under her leadership, a network of automatic meteorological stations of Kazhydromet RSE was created and implemented in Almaty and Zhetysu regions. Valentina Semenovna has made a significant contribution to the development of regulatory, technical and methodological documents, as well as software solutions aimed at automating and improving the efficiency of meteorological and actinometric observation networks.
