For many years of work in the hydrometeorological service system, high professionalism and significant contribution to the development of Kazhydromet, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Nysanbayev awarded Kumys Akzhanova, Head of the Bektau Ata remote weather station of the Karaganda and Ulytau regions, with the Order of "Enbek dankysy".
It should be noted that this is the second order of "Enbek Dankysy", awarded to an employee of RSE Kazhydromet, which underlines the high level of recognition of the work of specialists of the hydrometeorological service.
Kumys Akzhanova has devoted almost 50 years to the hydrometeorological service, having worked her way up from a radio technician to the head of a meteorological station. She graduated from the Almaty Hydrometeorological School with a degree in radio operator and in 1975 began her career at the Bektau Ata weather station, which she has been heading since 1998.
Kumys Akzhanova's work has been repeatedly noted with letters of thanks and certificates of honor from RSE Kazhydromet, the branch management and akim of the Karaganda region. She holds the titles of "Best by Profession" (1978) and "Drummer of Communist Labor" (1980), was awarded the Certificate of Honor from the Director General of Kazhydromet RSE (2009), the medal dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Hydrometeorological Service (2012), the medal in honor of the 20th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2016), and in 2022 she was awarded the jubilee medal for the 100th anniversary of Kazhydromet RSE for the best work.
Awarding the Order of "Enbek Dankysy" by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Nysanbayev was a recognition of Kumys Akzhanova's long-term and conscientious work, her dedication to the profession and invaluable contribution to the development of the country's hydrometeorological service.
