The thirty-sixth session of the Interstate Council for Hydrometeorology of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held in Tashkent on September 25-26. The session was attended by Danara Kizatovna Alimbayeva, General Director of RSE Kazhydromet.
The event discussed strategic directions for further development of cooperation between the CIS countries in the field of hydrometeorology, forecasting and prevention of dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena, as well as measures to strengthen coordination of national hydrometeorological services in the context of global climate change.
The participation of RSE Kazhydromet in the work of the Council is an important contribution to the development of regional and international partnership, as well as to strengthening Kazakhstan's position in the international arena in the field of climate and hydrometeorological research.
