Danara Alimbayeva, Director General of "Kazhydromet" RSE, spoke at the round table of the Chinese-Central Asian Meteorological Forum.
The discussion focused on issues that are particularly important for the region today.: how to make forecasts more accurately, warn about dangerous phenomena faster, and use modern technologies more effectively.
Danara Alimbayeva noted that Kazhydromet is already using high-resolution numerical models, developing regional data exchange and participating in the FFGS flood forecasting system for Central Asia.
In the future, Kazakhstan proposes to actively use artificial intelligence and the MAZU system, develop nowcasting, use Fengyun satellite data and expand the exchange of experience between experts from the countries of the region.
One of the proposals was to hold regional training seminars and trainings for specialists in modern technologies, forecasting and data management in Kazakhstan on the basis of "Kazhydromet" RSE.
