Kazhydromet RSE hosted a working meeting with representatives of GIZ and the Center for Emergency Situations and Disaster Risk Reduction (CESDRR).
The main topic of the meeting was the creation of a regional early warning system for hydrological disasters in Central Asia.
The issues of improving the monitoring of dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena on transboundary rivers and the development of practical mechanisms for early warning of possible water risks were also considered.
The parties noted the importance of further cooperation and exchange of experience to improve the effectiveness of prevention and response to hydrological threats in Central Asia.
