Kazhydromet organized multilateral meetings with representatives of national hydrometeorological services of Asian countries with the participation of the Secretary General of the World Meteorological Organization Celeste Saulo.
During the meetings, the participants discussed topical issues of the development of hydrometeorological activities, including monitoring climate change, improving forecasting systems and improving the quality of services provided. Special attention was paid to data exchange, the introduction of modern technologies and the strengthening of cooperation between national services.
The parties also discussed the prospects for expanding regional cooperation, implementing joint projects and coordinating efforts in the field of preventing dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena.
Following the meetings, the participants noted the importance of regular dialogue and expressed their willingness to further strengthen partnerships aimed at increasing the resilience of countries in the region to climate risks and ensuring public safety.
