According to the advisory weather forecast, February 2026 is expected to be warm with moderate precipitation.
In most of the country, the average air temperature is expected to be 1-2 degrees above normal, and about normal in the south-east of the country. Precipitation is forecast near the climatic norm in most of the republic, above normal in the northwestern half, in the mountainous and foothill regions of the south, south-east and east of the country.
The temperature background is expected in the first decade.:
in the west and north-west (Aktobe region) of the republic, the air temperature is forecast to drop at night to 23-28 frost, in the afternoon to 15-23 frost, at the end of the decade, the frost will weaken at night to 10-20, in the afternoon to 0-8 frost;
in the north, in the center, and in the east of the country, a short-term increase in air temperature is expected at night from 15-25 to 2-10 frost, in the afternoon from 5-13 frost to 4 frost–1 heat, at the end of the decade - a decrease in temperature at night to 18-28 frost, in the afternoon to 13-20 frost;
in the south-west, south, and south-east of the country, the air temperature is forecast to fluctuate at night from 5 frost-5 frost to 3-11 frost (in the north of the Kyzylorda region, 18 frost), during the day, the air temperature is expected to rise from 3-10 heat to 8-17 heat, followed by a decrease in air temperature to 0-8 heat.
In general, in February in the west, north, center and east of the country, the most frosty days are expected in the first and second decades, at night the air temperature will drop to 21-30 frost, in the mountainous regions of the east to 35 frost, in the afternoon to 13-20 frost. In the middle of the first decade (in the west of the country at the beginning of the decade), on some days of the second and third decades, temperatures are expected to rise to thaws in the afternoon.
In the southern half of the republic, air temperature is expected to fluctuate at night from 5 degrees Celsius-5 degrees Celsius to 3-15 degrees Celsius, during the day from 0,-10 degrees Celsius to 8-17 degrees Celsius.
Precipitation is expected mainly in the form of snow in the northern half of the republic, rain and sleet in the south-west and southern half of the country. Fogs and icy conditions are forecast, as well as increased winds, with snowstorms in the northern half of the country.
